SSX Group is seeking experienced and skilled Armed Security Officers for ongoing work across a number of high-profile community, educational and faith-based facilities throughout Melbourne.
These are important positions requiring more than simply maintaining a visible security presence.
Successful applicants will be responsible for protecting people, property and community facilities while delivering a calm, respectful and professional service.
Due to the nature of these assignments, officers must demonstrate strong judgement, situational awareness and the ability to work appropriately within culturally and religiously sensitive environments.Key responsibilitiesProviding a professional armed security presenceConducting foot and vehicle patrolsMonitoring access points and controlling entry to facilitiesIdentifying and responding to suspicious activityResponding appropriately to incidents and emergenciesCompleting detailed incident and shift reportsLiaising with site representatives,



emergency services and SSX managementFollowing site-specific security procedures and escalation protocolsMaintaining a respectful and approachable presence for staff, visitors and members of the communityAbout youA current Victorian Security Licence with the appropriate armed guard endorsementA current Victorian Firearms LicenceA current First Aid and CPR qualificationA current Victorian Driver LicenceA valid Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain oneFull Australian working rightsStrong written and verbal communication skillsA reliable and professional work historyPrevious experience in armed security, critical infrastructure, government, defence, policing, protective services or high-risk community environmentsAvailable for a combination of day, afternoon, night and weekend shifts is essential.
