They offer a dynamic and collaborative finance team environment, with a genuine focus on financial governance, continuous improvement and compliance excellence.The RoleReporting to the Financial Controller with a dotted line to above country leadership, this is a temporary role responsible for delivering accurate and timely invoicing, financial processing and general ledger support across multiple entities.
Working closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Business Partners, you will contribute to end-to-end accounting processes, tax compliance, audit support and the continuous improvement of internal controls.Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Prepare, review and issue weekly and monthly customer invoices and statements across multiple entitiesMaintain the Accounts Receivable ledger including accurate customer, pricing and billing recordsAllocate and match customer receipts; perform customer account reconciliationsMonitor customer accounts to ensure payments are received in line with agreed credit terms; investigate and resolve invoicing discrepanciesAssist with the preparation of BAS, FBT, PTS and other compliance workSupport statutory and tax compliance processes including BAS, Payroll Tax and FBTEnsure month-end journals,



accruals and adjustments are completed in accordance with accounting standards and internal control policiesAssist with internal and external audit requirements including supporting schedules and audit evidenceContribute to financial governance by ensuring adherence to relevant statutory, audit and accounting standardsSupport continuous improvement of compliance-related processes including control documentation and audit trailsAssist with preparation of financial reporting schedules for month-end, quarter-end and year-end requirementsAssistance with both AP and AR staff if requiredThe PersonBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; CPA or CA qualification desirableTangible experience in a similar financial accounting or analyst roleDemonstrated experience in financial accounting, accounts receivable and month-end reportingSound knowledge of relevant legislation and accounting standardsStrong understanding of invoicing processes, balance sheet reconciliations and tax compliance (BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax)Excellent attention to detail, commercial acumen and strong analytical skillsResults-driven, resilient and service-oriented; comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environmentAbout UsVeritas Recruitment recruits across multiple verticals, with industry-specific recruiters servicing a range of clients.
