With sites across the North and South Islands, we're focused on performance improvement, innovation, and reducing our environmental impact.Our Livestock team sits at the heart of our business - building trusted relationships on-farm and ensuring a consistent, high-quality supply chain to our processing plants.The RoleAs a Livestock Representative, you'll be the key link between Alliance and our farmer shareholders across the Ashburton Region.
This is a highly relationship-focused, commercially driven role where no two days are the same.You'll be responsible for procuring livestock, growing market share, and supporting farmers to achieve the best outcomes for their business, while delivering on Alliance's supply and performance targets.This role offers real autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced, field-based environment.What You'll Be DoingIn this role, you'll take ownership of your territory, balancing relationship management, livestock procurement, and commercial performance.
You will:Procure and deliver results – Secure livestock aligned to Alliance strategy, delivering on volume, quality, and financial targets while monitoring market trends and competitor activityBuild and grow farmer relationships – Develop trusted partnerships with shareholder suppliers, identify new opportunities,



and convert prospects into long-term clientsPlan and execute effectively – Manage your pipeline, maintain accurate livestock forecasts, and align supply with operational and processing requirementsCoordinate and communicate – Ensure smooth livestock logistics, transport, and scheduling, while keeping farmers and internal teams well-informedChampion standards and programmes – Promote the Farm Assurance Programme (FAP) and uphold health, safety, and compliance expectationsAbout YouYou'll bring a mix of commercial thinking, rural knowledge, and strong relationship-building skills, along with:Solid understanding of the livestock and agricultural sectorProven ability to build trust and influence farmers and stakeholdersStrong negotiation and communication skillsA results-driven mindset with the ability to work independentlyConfidence in planning, forecasting, and managing your own territoryHigh levels of organisation and time managementA tertiary qualification in Agribusiness or a related field is advantageous but not essential.Please note that we are only considering candidates who are currently eligible to work in New Zealand.What We OfferWe offer a diverse range of benefits to support your professional career and wellbeing:Health insurance subsidies for you and your family1 week extra annual leaveOngoing support and opportunities for growth and developmentSocial opportunities with the regional teamCompany car and fuel cardPhone and laptopAlliance Group is committed to creating a workplace where everyone is treated with fairness, dignity and respect.
