An established and growing Australian building services company is looking for an experienced HVAC Installer / Installation Technician to join its Sydney team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who enjoys being on the tools and completing quality installation work, rather than spending every day carrying out repetitive preventative maintenance.The business has a strong pipeline of work across Sydney and is looking to strengthen its HVAC installation capability with someone who can work autonomously, take ownership of jobs and contribute positively to the wider team.The RoleThis position will be predominantly focused on HVAC installation and project works, although some service, fault finding and maintenance may be required depending on workload.You will work across a diverse portfolio of commercial and building services sites throughout Sydney, including schools, healthcare facilities, aged care, commercial buildings and other facilities.Typical Responsibilities Will IncludeInstallation of commercial HVAC systemsVRV / VRF installation and associated pipeworkSplit and ducted air conditioning installationsInstallation and replacement of HVAC equipmentRefrigeration pipework, brazing, pressure testing and commissioningInstallation of ventilation and associated mechanical servicesEquipment changeovers and upgrade worksReading plans and completing installation set-outsCarrying out testing and commissioningDiagnosing and repairing HVAC faults when requiredCompleting minor service and maintenance worksWorking autonomously across client sitesLiaising professionally with clients, builders and other tradesCompleting job records through SimproSupporting and mentoring apprentices where requiredMaintaining high standards of safety and workmanshipAbout YouWe are looking for someone with a strong practical HVAC installation background who is comfortable working independently.Ideally,



You Will HaveCertificate III in Air Conditioning & RefrigerationCurrent ARC Refrigerant Handling LicenceNSW Contractor Licence or Qualified Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to obtain oneCurrent NSW Driver LicenceStrong commercial HVAC installation experienceExperience with VRV/VRF, split and ducted systemsStrong refrigeration pipework and brazing capabilityAbility to read plans and mechanical drawingsGood understanding of commissioning and testingSome service, repair and fault-finding experienceStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and manage your own workloadFull Australian working rightsExperience with Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric equipment, mechanical ventilation, commercial refrigeration or mechanical fire systems would be highly regarded.You will also need to be comfortable completing a police check, Working with Children Check and pre-employment medical.What's On Offer?
