Blooming People Australia – Campbellfield VICAs the Textile Laboratory Technician, you will take responsibility for end-to-end laboratory testing and product evaluation across production, quality and development activities.
Your work will support the continued improvement of product quality, performance, commercial value and sustainability.
Working closely with the Technical Manager, Plant Manager and production team, you will see the direct impact of your work across both day-to-day manufacturing and future product development.Key responsibilitiesConduct routine and non-routine testing of loomstate and finished fabricsVerify products against specifications, quality requirements and performance criteriaPerform process-control sampling and testing to support manufacturingOperate textile testing equipment, including hydrostatic head and spray rating testing equipmentAssist with coating formulations for production and product-development activitiesConduct chemical and physical evaluations of coatings and raw materialsSupport laboratory trials, research and current product-development projectsWork with technical and production teams to investigate results and improve processesMaintain accurate laboratory records,



job sheets, batch samples and testing dataEnter and maintain laboratory information within the company's ERP and database systemsAbout youApproximately two or more years of experience within a textile laboratoryPractical knowledge of yarns, woven fabrics and fabric constructionHands-on experience using textile testing equipmentExperience with hydrostatic head, spray rating or comparable textile performance testsAn understanding of process improvement within a laboratory or manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of ISO **** principles and laboratory quality systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skillsConfidence communicating with technical, production, sales and management stakeholdersStrong organisation and time-management skillsAbout usBlooming People is representing an established Australian manufacturer within the textile industry.
