You will work from drawings and specifications to ensure all products are manufactured safely and to the required quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret drawings and welding specificationsSet up and operate MIG welding equipmentMIG weld reinforcement steel bars and componentsFabricate and assemble prefabricated steel cagesPerform fitting, layout and assembly of steel components prior to weldingInspect completed welds for quality, strength and accuracyUse grinders, torches and saws to prepare and finish welded assembliesSafely operate overhead cranes to move steel,



cages and materials around the facilityAssist with automated and semi-automated machineryIdentify and rectify defective materials or weldsPerform basic maintenance on welding equipment and toolsMaintain a clean, safe and organised work environmentFollow all site safety procedures and PPE requirementsWork closely with production, warehouse and dispatch teamsAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Previous experience in MIG welding and fabricationExperience working with steel or reinforcement steel would be highly regardedThe ability to read and interpret drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work safely around heavy steel and machineryGood understanding of workplace health and safetyAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamA reliable and positive attitudeOverhead crane experience would be advantageousWhat's on Offer6:00am – 2:30pm Monday to FridayDay shift with an early finishOngoing workWork within a busy manufacturing environmentOpportunity to secure a long-term position for the right candidate
