About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Chef to lead kitchen operations at our Clayton residence, delivering high-quality, culturally appropriate meals that enhance the dining experience for our residents.
In this role, you will oversee the Kitchen Services Team, ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently,
and in line with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
You will play a key role in menu planning, maintaining compliance, and creating a positive and engaging food service setting that supports resident wellbeing.
The Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to residents' dietary, cultural and personal preferencesLead and support the Kitchen Services Team to ensure productive daily operationsContribute to menu planning, recipe development and cost controlMonitor food safety, hygiene and infection control practices in line with the Food Safety Program (FSP)Order supplies, manage stock levels and liaise with approved suppliersEnsure kitchen equipment, work areas and cleaning schedules meet compliance standardsMaintain accurate documentation and support audit readinessOversee meal presentation and contribute to a positive dining experience for residentsRespond to feedback and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
What Success Looks Like For This Role
Minimum 1 year experience in aged careAbility to cook Greek cuisine requiredConsistently delivering high-quality,
resident-focused meals and dining experiencesAbility to manage food preparation and meal service in compliance with dietary requirementsKnowledge and experience preparing texture-modified meals and modified diets in line with residents' dietary requirements and care plansMaintaining full compliance with food safety, audit and regulatory requirementsEffective kitchen operations with strong cost control and resource managementAccurate documentation, reporting and adherence to the Food Safety ProgramA well-led, engaged kitchen team delivering timely and efficient serviceA safe, clean and organised kitchen environment aligned with WHS standardsActive contribution to continuous improvement and organisational excellence
