MacPac HR is proud to partner with our Client to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Accountant.This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting qualified looking to build their career in a meaningful sector, supporting the financial operations of a well-respected aged care organisation dedicated to delivering quality care to its residents.Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the leadership team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of financial, payroll, reporting and compliance activities while developing valuable experience within the aged care industry.About the roleThe Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations and administrative accounting functions of Navorina Nursing Home.Key responsibilitiesProcessing invoices and managing accounts payable activitiesReconciling petty cash and maintaining accurate financial recordsAssisting with budget preparation, forecasting and variance analysisSupporting cash flow and profitability reportingSupporting resident billing, RAD statements, admissions, discharges and refundsProvide backup support for payroll processingAssisting with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reportingContributing to regulatory reporting requirements,



including QFR and Stewart Brown reportingSupporting internal and external audit processesWorking collaboratively with operational, clinical and administrative teamsParticipating in continuous improvement and risk management initiativesAbout youDemonstrated experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within an aged care or not-for-profit environment.Qualifications (or actively working towards a degree/diploma) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.Strong knowledge of core accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget support.Proficiency in accounting/payroll software with strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.Proven attention to detail, accuracy, strong organisational skills, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly.Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a small team.High level of integrity and confidentiality.Current NSW Driver's Licence.Familiarity or willingness to learn aged care funding arrangements (AN-ACC), RAD/DAP/MTCF processes, Stewart Brown, and QFR reporting.If you're looking for a role where you can develop your accounting career while making a genuine difference in your local community, we'd love to hear from you.
