Reporting to the Quality Lead, the Quality Control Officer is responsible for the testing, inspection and documentation activities that ensure raw materials, in-process goods and finished products meet Mavlab's specifications and regulatory requirements.
You'll work closely with Production, Quality Assurance and Warehouse to support timely, compliant product release.Key responsibilitiesPerform physical, chemical and microbiological testing of raw materials, packaging, in-process samples and finished goods against approved specificationsAccurately record and review test results, ensuring full compliance with GMP documentation standardsSupport batch record review and product release activities alongside the QA teamMaintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, and assist with method validation and stability testing programsIdentify and report out-of-specification (OOS) or out-of-trend (OOT) results, and support root cause investigationsAssist with internal audits, supplier quality checks and TGA/APVMA inspection readinessMaintain a clean, protected and organised laboratory in line with WHS and GMP requirementsContribute to continuous improvement of QC procedures, test methods and turnaround timesAbout youDegree or diploma in Science, Chemistry,



Pharmacy or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)Prior QC experience in a pharmaceutical, veterinary, food or related GMP-regulated manufacturing setting preferredWorking knowledge of GMP, TGA and/or APVMA requirements, or a strong willingness to learnHands-on laboratory testing experience (wet chemistry, HPLC, microbiology, or similar)High attention to detail and strong, accurate documentation practicesGood communication skills and the ability to work well within a cross-functional teamA proactive, problem-solving mindset and commitment to quality and continuous improvementAbout usMavlab Animal Health is an Australian-owned veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Logan City, QLD.
