Sydney, Australia | Posted on 11/10/2022As part of the engineering and design team,the outside plant designer will be engaged in the following activities:Access Optus live databases/systemslike Helix, Mapblaster, SpatialWeb, U****, Projen, etc. for serviceprovisioning to Add, Modify or Decommissioning of servicesNeed to design or data fill theDirect line, Multi-line, Voice and other IP-VPN products across the accesstypesPrepares Field InspectionReports and Land Access and Statutory Approvals documentationEnsure area plans, detaileddesigns and documentation created meets defined quality standardsEnsure the timely delivery ofcustomer service orders within the defined time linesActively seek feedback fromsenior designers and provide recommendations on planning and design procedureimprovementAssist the team in providing inputs for processimprovement and optimise the design rulesRequirements1 to 3 years of experience in planning,design and detailed documentation of communications' OSP networksUnderstanding of networkingconcepts, IP addressing and Subnet Masking, Network Switches and RoutersNetworking certifications suchas CCNA/CCNP are highly preferableUnderstanding of direct fiberaccess network that includes active and passive devicesUnderstanding of aerial,underground and intra-building designs standards of NBN will be an addedadvantageWorking experience on Optusdatabase and systems such as Helix, Mapblaster, SpatialWeb, U****, etc. ispreferableWorking experience on livespatial and non-spatial systems is highly preferableKnowledge of GIS relatedplatforms, systems and tools such as MapInfo and AutoCAD MapGood command over technical writing anddocumentation skills
