Anthony Street Fitness is seeking a skilled and experienced Sports Development Officer to join our team.
In this role, you will be working to develop our coaching, training and instructing program, to expand our services for kids, young adults and students.
You will implement a specialty training program for people with various backgrounds, needs and interests.
You will take our best athletes and coach them into the competitors and stars of tomorrow by co-ordinating and facilitating participation and entry into sporting competitions.
You will design and deliver sports-based mentoring sessions, build and support a team of junior coaches, and help young people build confidence and coordination through structured play and athletic activities in an all inclusive and fun environment.Key responsibilitiesCoach, train, and instruct sportspersons by analysing their performance and developing their abilitiesPlan and direct game strategies, develop play patterns, and analyse game progressMotivate sportspersons and supervise practice sessions, encouraging commitment, confidence, and connection in every athleteRecruit players and other coaching staff, and support and mentor junior coaches to build a strong, positive team cultureArrange entries into sporting competitionsPromote sports and skills development,
and oversee the participation of young people in sportOfficiate at sporting events to enforce rules, when requiredCoordinate and direct sporting activities including community outreach and program logistics and liaise with other officials to interpret and enforce rules and regulations relating to sportLead and structure movement-based mentoring sessions, adapting them to individual abilitiesTrack participant progress and collaborate with the wider team to refine support plansAbout youWorking with the Children CheckCurrent Driver's Licence and access to reliable transportAvailability for regular weekly sessions (minimum 4 days per week)Previous experience in youth sport, martial arts coaching, or recreational programsAbility to take initiative and lead a team with confidence and compassionStrong communication and organisational skillsA high level of energy, positivity, and adaptabilityPassion for helping others grow through movement and mentorshipCompetence in documenting outcomes and using digital toolsFluency in foreign languages are preferred (Chinese)About usAnthony Street Fitness is a agile crew committed to sports development and community engagement.
