You'll work directly with our Founder and CFO, taking ownership of key day-to-day finance activities while helping improve the systems and processes behind them.
This is a hands-on role with genuine exposure to the broader business.
You'll be encouraged to ask questions, challenge inefficient processes and look for better ways of working.
As your capability grows, there will also be opportunities to build experience across month-end close, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.Key responsibilitiesManaging accounts payable, supplier reconciliations and payment runsProcessing payroll and maintaining accurate payroll recordsManaging PAYG, superannuation, STP and supporting payroll tax requirementsCompleting bank and balance sheet reconciliationsSupporting accounts receivable and customer payment allocationsPreparing and assisting with BAS lodgementsSupporting month-end and management reportingMaintaining accurate financial information across multiple entitiesResponding to finance and payroll queries across the businessWorking with the CFO to strengthen financial controls and processesAbout you3+ years' experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, Assistant Accountant or similar roleHands-on accounts payable and payroll experience and solid reconciliation skillsWorking knowledge of Australian payroll requirements, including PAYG, superannuation and STPExperience preparing or assisting with BASStrong attention to detail and accuracyConfidence using accounting and payroll systems, with Xero experience highly regardedGood Excel skills and confidence working with dataStrong organisation and the ability to manage competing deadlinesClear communication skills and confidence dealing with employees, suppliers and senior leadersAbout usOur client is a second-generation family business operating two complementary brands in the foodservice space.
