Job Title – Australian Statutory, Tax & Finance SME | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Job Location – Sydney Employment Type – Contract/FTCKey ResponsibilitiesWhat role you will play in Team:
Lead Australian statutory, tax, and finance configuration across D365 Finance, including:
General Ledger (GL)
Chart of Accounts (COA)
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Accounts Payable (AP)
Order to Cash (O2C)
Record to Report (R2R)
GST/BAS
PAYG
Fringe Perks Tax (FBT)
Payroll Tax
Superannuation
Period-end close processes
Define the borrowing-base and lender reporting solution, including:
Calculation logic
Reconciliation controls
Approval workflows
Audit trail requirements
Parallel-run acceptance criteria
Identify Day 2 finance, statutory, and compliance requirements for a newly established Australian legal entity being carved out from its parent organization.
Support ERP fit-gap analysis (Microsoft Dynamics 365 vs Oracle) from a statutory compliance, financial controls, and reporting perspective.
Participate in stakeholder workshops with finance and treasury teams and contribute to:
Requirements gathering
Solution blueprint development
Statement of Work (SoW) preparation
Required Experience8+ years of hands-on experience configuring finance processes for Australian entities within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or AX ****, covering:
GL, COA, AR, AP
O2C, R2R
GST, BAS, PAYG
Payroll tax, superannuation
Financial close and statutory reporting
Strong understanding of:
Australian GAAP
AASB standards
ATO compliance requirements
Proven experience supporting:
Legal entity separations/carve-outs
ERP cutovers
Opening balance migrations
First-close activities
Audit readiness
Highly DesirableExperience with borrowing-base or lender reporting solutions within ERP platforms.
Background in freight, logistics, transport, or other asset-intensive industries.
CA or CPA qualification.
