The paediatric unit is a 16 bed department and is responsible for the delivery of day-to-day paediatric patient care needs for medical, surgical and mental health paediatric patients.
This would suit a Registered Nurse with experience and sound clinical skills in the care of the acute paediatric patient.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out and attending to the responsibilities and duties outlined for the Registered Nurse and meet the following mandatory criteria:Eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse, i.e Current Registration with AHPRAMinimum 2 years nursing experience preferablyPaediatricDemonstrated commitment and ability to practice within a person and family centered care environmentDemonstrated ability to work within a team structure in a multidisciplinary environmentDemonstrated knowledge of and commitment to improving performance and risk managementDemonstrated ability to plan and manage clinical activities as an RNDemonstrate an ability to mentor junior staff, nursing students and EENCurrent Acute experience within paediatricsProven ability to exercise sound judgement in ethical, clinical and management issuesMust have Australian Working RightsEmployment Type: This is a 12 month Fixed Term, Part Time opportunity, with 2 positions available.AWH serves as the largest regional healthcare provider between Sydney and Melbourne, situated in the border cities of Albury and Wodonga.
