We need someone who can confidently discuss customer applications, identify suitable products, troubleshoot common issues and provide informed technical advice.
Ongoing product training will be provided to support and extend your existing knowledge.Your day could involve helping a homeowner solve an irrigation problem, advising a farmer or tradesperson on pump or pipe selection, answering a technical enquiry over the phone, booking a pump in for repair, preparing a customer order, following up on product availability and assisting with stock and warehouse operations when required.What you'll be doingServe customers at our retail and trade counterAssist customers with product enquiries,



technical advice and product selectionAnswer incoming customer enquiries by telephone and in personProvide knowledgeable advice across irrigation, pumps, pipe, fittings, filtration and water productsPrepare customer quotes and sales ordersProcess retail sales and paymentsFollow up customer enquiries and outstanding quotesCheck product availability and advise customers of expected arrival timesArrange customer orders and special-order productsBook pumps and equipment in for repairCommunicate with customers regarding repairs and service enquiriesAssist with warranty and product return enquiriesMaintain customer records and sales information accuratelyHelp keep retail displays stocked, organised and well presentedAssist with day-to-day stock control and product availabilitySupport warehouse operations as required, including receiving, checking and putting away incoming stockPick and prepare customer orders, stock transfers and items for collection or deliveryAssist with stock counts and maintaining accurate, organised stock locationsHelp maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse and storage areaLiaise with suppliers when required to obtain product information, pricing and availabilityWork closely with our service and project teams on larger or more complex technical enquiriesMaintain and expand your technical product knowledge through ongoing trainingBuild positive relationships with our retail, trade and commercial customersAbout youWe are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys dealing with customers and already has solid practical knowledge of irrigation and pumps.




You will be comfortable working in a busy retail environment and confident providing technical advice to a broad range of customers.You will have:Demonstrated experience working with irrigation systems and pumpsStrong working knowledge of irrigation components, pump applications, pipe, fittings and related water productsFriendly and confident communicationGood telephone mannerAbility to listen to customers, understand their application and recommend an appropriate solutionGood attention to detailStrong organisational and time-management skillsConfidence using computers and learning new systemsExperience using point-of-sale, ERP or inventory systems would be an advantageAbility to use Microsoft Teams, Outlook and other workplace communication toolsStrong customer service skills and a willingness to continue developing your product knowledgeAbility to work independently while also contributing to the teamA practical, technically minded approach to problem solvingWillingness to assist with stock handling and general warehouse duties as part of the wider teamReliability and a positive attitudePrevious irrigation and pump industry experience is essential.
