We’re currently recruiting for a Mid to Senior Systems Engineer to join a global engineering and manufacturing organisation specialising in rail vehicle HVAC and battery thermal management systems.

n

This is a full time, permanent position based in Western Sydney. The role combines hands-on engineering design, testing and technical problem-solving across HVAC and Battery Thermal Management Systems (BTMS), with prospects for customer interaction, international travel and ongoing technical development.

Roles and Responsibilities n

n
Lead engineering design activities from initial concept and requirements through to production release.
n
Design and develop HVAC, thermal/fluid and Battery Thermal Management Systems.
n
Investigate technical issues through hands-on troubleshooting, testing and root cause analysis.
n
Develop engineering specifications, requirements, test plans and validation activities while supporting technical risk management.
n
Work across engineering, manufacturing and project teams while developing solutions and supporting customer technical requirements.

Skills and Requirements: nn




Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Refrigeration Engineering, Thermal/Fluid Engineering or a related discipline.
n
Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, thermal/fluid systems and/or Battery Thermal Management Systems (BTMS).
n
Practical engineering design experience, with knowledge of airflow, heat transfer, HVAC components and control systems.
n
Hands-on experience in system testing, validation, troubleshooting, fault investigation and root cause analysis.
n
Understanding of programming, software or control systems, with PLC, C or C++ experience would be advantageous.
