Machine Operator / Overhead Crane OperatorOur client is a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of steel products, with opportunities available across their Dandenong South Steel Centre and Noble Park Reinforcing operations.They are currently seeking reliable and safety-focused Machine Operators / Overhead Crane Operators to join their teams across steel processing, production, overhead crane operations, material handling and dispatch.Day Shift: 5:45am to 1:45pmNight Shift: 9:45pm to 5:45amDay Shift: 6am to 2:30pmKey DutiesWorking within steel manufacturing and processing environmentsMoving and positioning steel products using overhead cranes and mechanical equipmentAssisting with inbound and outbound steel movementsSupporting machine operators and production processesMonitoring machinery and identifying production issuesPreparing and staging steel productsPushing, pulling and realigning steel packs where requiredTying, wiring and strapping finished steel packsAssisting with the preparation and loading of trucksOperating forklifts where required to assist with moving and loading finished steel productsUsing hooks and chains when positioning steel productsCompleting equipment pre-start checks where requiredFollowing exclusion zones, SOPs and site safety proceduresAbout YouWe're looking for reliable,



hands-on candidates who are comfortable working within an industrial setting and are interested in developing their skills within steel manufacturing.Previous steel or overhead crane experience is highly regarded but isn't essential for all positions.
