Vadals is a family-owned Australian company, situated at Richlands, which supplies goods and packaging to the food industry.We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Officer to join our growing team in Richlands.Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring stock availability, managing supplier relationships, and supporting the smooth operation of our purchasing function.
This is a varied and fast-paced position offering the opportunity to develop your procurement and supply chain skills within a supportive team workplace.What You'll Be DoingManaging purchase orders across a large range of products and suppliersLiaising with local and overseas suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stockMonitoring and tracking orders, providing delivery updates to internal stakeholdersWorking closely with Sales,



Administration and Warehouse teams to coordinate stock requirements and deliveriesReviewing product specifications and supplier informationResolving pricing discrepancies between invoices and purchase ordersSourcing new suppliers and analysing costsProcessing supplier invoices for paymentMaintaining accurate inventory and purchasing data within the ERP systemAssisting with forecasting and inventory planningWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience in Purchasing, Procurement and Supplier NegotiationsStrong communication and relationship-building skillsHigh attention to detail and excellent organisational abilitiesStrong time management skills and the ability to prioritises competing deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and OutlookA positive, resilient and solutions-focused attitudeAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamExperience using ERP systems will be highly regardedWhat's On OfferFull-time permanent position – Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pmFriendly and supportive team environmentOn-the-job training and career development opportunitiesDiverse and interesting workloadOnsite parkingLocationThis role is based in Richlands, Queensland.
