In this role, you will: Exercise sound judgement when managing complex or sensitive issues.Key responsibilitiesReporting to the Coordinator Communications and Engagement, you'll work across the organisation to create engaging content, support communication strategies and strengthen Council's reputation with the community, stakeholders and media.As Communications Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering Council's media, public relations and communications activities.You'll help bring projects, programs and events to life through compelling storytelling, strategic communications and proactive media engagement.Prepare media releases, speeches, newsletters, publications and other communication materials.What you needYou're a confident communicator with a flair for storytelling, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.You enjoy building relationships, working collaboratively and delivering high-quality work in a quick-paced environment.Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Media, Communications or a related discipline, with at least three years' relevant experience.
