About the Position
This newly available Finance Manager chance has arisen as part of a planned leadership transition within the organisation.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Finance & Corporate Services, the role will take ownership of ACSI's day-to-day finance function while leading a small team and partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
Offered on a 0.6 FTE basis (22.5 hours per week), the position combines technical accounting, financial control, reporting, team leadership and business partnering responsibilities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in month‐end reporting,



budgeting, forecasting, compliance and financial decision‐making, while maintaining strong relationships with external advisors and service providers.
Given the size of the organisation, this is a genuinely hands‐on role where you'll remain involved in both the preparation and review of financial information while helping develop finance processes, systems and capability across the team.

Duties
Lead the day-to-day finance function, including management accounting and financial control
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management reporting, analysis and commentary
Coordinate annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
Prepare statutory financial statements and manage the external audit process
Oversee tax compliance, including BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax and related reporting obligations
Manage payroll governance, reconciliations and relationships with external providers
Monitor cash flow forecasting and support AFSL financial resource requirements
Partner with the Executive Management Team on budgeting, reporting and business performance matters
Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, insurers and other external stakeholders
Lead, mentor and develop two finance team members while building capability across the function
Support continuous improvement across finance systems,



reporting processes and controls
Assist with governance, compliance and finance-related projects as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a technically strong and hands‐on finance professional who enjoys operating in a collaborative, high-accountability environment.
You will be comfortable balancing strategic responsibilities with day‐to‐day financial management while partnering effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
You will have:
Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting and finance roles
Strong financial and management accounting capability
Experience managing month‐end reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes
Strong tax knowledge and understanding of compliance obligations
Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero or similar accounting systems
Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop team members
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
Experience within investments, superannuation or member-based organisations will be highly regarded but not essential
Exposure to Tax Mutuality Principle, AFSL reporting, or Modern Slavery reporting will be advantageous
Genuine flexibility with a 0.6 FTE permanent arrangement
