Smart AVR is a fast-growing, Australia-wide automotive service provider with workshops in Sydney (Prestons), Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Canberra . We’re currently seeking an experienced Mobile Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join our team working in the Toowoomba area.

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools, supporting both the efficiency and reputation of our workshop.

Key Responsibilities n

n
Perform detailed diagnostics and inspections across a wide range of vehicle makes and models
n
Utilise advanced diagnostic equipment and software to identify and troubleshoot faults
n
Carry out repairs and component replacements to manufacturer standards
n
Prepare clear and accurate reports on all work completed
n
Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers in a skilled and easy-to-understand manner
n
Maintain a high level of workmanship, safety, and attention to detail
n
Keep up-to-date with evolving automotive systems, diagnostic techniques, and emerging technologies
n





About You nn
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an automotive diagnostic or advanced technician role
n
Robust diagnostic and problem-solving ability, particularly with complex or intermittent faults
n
Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and electronic vehicle systems
n
Confident in using a variety of diagnostic scan tools, software programs, and test equipment
n
High standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and pride in your work
n
Solid communication and teamwork skills.
