Larrakeyah Defence Precinct is a unique tri-service Defence base directly supporting ADF operations & training.
It is the home port of HMAS Coonawarra for Navy Patrol Boats and two Army Landing Craft.
The facility has a routine dependency of **** personnel which surges every 3 months to conduct pre and post deployment medicals.
The health centre provides primary medical, nursing, mental health, dental, physiotherapy and pharmaceutical services.
Standard operating hours are generally 07:*******:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).
What You'll DoKeep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast,
accurate, and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients.Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards.Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information.Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities to support operational and compliance requirements.Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests.What You BringMinimum of 1 year of full-time (or part time equivalent) experience in an administrative role.
(Medical setting highly desirable)Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to completeStrong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.Who We AreSerco supports governments by delivering essential services across defence, health, justice, maritime and community services.
