and impact.About the RoleJBS Pork Australia - Farming Team is currently recruiting a Technical Officer to support the team based at our Huntly site.This full-time position will be responsible for collecting research data in the areas of nutrition, behaviour, welfare, health, reproduction, genetics and meat quality.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and conduct livestock researchUndertake daily animal husbandry tasks including feeding, live weight assessment and monitoring of animal health and welfareCompliance with research protocol guidelines, animal welfare and ethics and WHSAccurately capture research dataWillingness to participate in travel to other sites to perform duties as reasonably required.Skills & ExperienceDegree or Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science (or related field), or experience in animal research/animal productionPrevious livestock experienceA positive attitude with an interest in animal research, production and current technologyEffective communication & organisational skills as well a desire to work in a team environment.Intermediate computer skillsA sound degree of fitness to cope with the physical nature of the positionA preparedness to work flexible hoursA current Driver's LicenceOur recruitment process includes a medical (which includes a drug screen).
