Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Civil Engineering team to achieve business and project objectives
Oversee the delivery of civil engineering projects to agreed quality, budget, and time requirements
Provide technical leadership and expert advice across civil engineering projects
Review and approve engineering designs, reports, and technical documentation
Mentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical staff
Manage project resources, utilisation, and team workloads
Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and commercial performance
Build and maintain strong client relationships across the region
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and contribute to winning work
Prepare and review fee proposals and project submissions
Support recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and workforce development
Collaborate with the General Manager and Operational Leadership Team to achieve strategic goals
Promote Amey Australia's civil engineering capabilities across the market
What we're looking for
Essential Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
NER Registered Engineer
CPEng and MIEAust (or working towards where applicable)
Minimum 7 years' experience in civil engineering and project delivery within a consulting environment
Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and managing project delivery
Strong understanding of civil engineering design, standards, legislation, and industry best practice
Proven ability to manage project budgets, programs, and client relationships
Strong commercial awareness within a professional services environment
Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
