Looking for a better accounting role?
We're looking for an Accountant or Senior Accountant with at least 3 years' Australian public practice experience to join our growing Wollongong team.
You'll work with a diverse portfolio of SME, family business and individual clients across accounting, taxation, compliance and advisory work.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more client exposure, greater responsibility and a genuine pathway to progress their career.
You may be an Intermediate Accountant ready to step up, or already working at Senior Accountant level and looking for a role with more variety, autonomy and opportunity.
What you'll be doing
Your role will include:
Preparing financial statements and income tax returns
Working with companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
Preparing and reviewing BAS
Managing taxation and compliance requirements
Working directly with business owners and clients
Assisting with tax planning and year-end strategies
Supporting clients with CGT, Division 7A and structuring matters
Liaising with the ATO and other professional advisers
Using Xero and Xero Practice Manager
Building strong, long-term client relationships
Reviewing junior work as your experience develops
Supporting less experienced team members where appropriate
As your experience grows, so will your level of client ownership and responsibility.
What we're looking for
Ideally, you will have:
3+ years' Australian public practice experience
Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns




Positive knowledge of Australian taxation
Experience with companies, trusts and partnerships
Experience working with SME clients
Confidence communicating directly with clients
Xero experience
Strong attention to detail
Good organisational skills
A proactive and reliable approach to your work
CPA or CA qualification is highly regarded, whether completed or currently underway.
You don't need to know everything.
