Our Food Services Assistants play an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience for our residents and ensuring they receive nutritious, enjoyable meals every day.We are currently seeking a Food Services Assistant to join our team, with additional cooking responsibilities on weekends.About the Role:As a Food Services Assistant, you will support the day-to-day delivery of meals and catering services within our residential aged care home.
On weekends, you will take on additional cooking duties, helping to ensure our residents continue to receive high-quality, nutritious meals.Your responsibilities will include:Assisting with the preparation and delivery of meals, snacks and beveragesPreparing and cooking meals on weekends in accordance with menus and recipesEnsuring meals are prepared to meet residents' dietary, nutritional and texture-modified requirementsAssisting with plating, serving and meal distributionMaintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanlinessCleaning kitchen equipment,



utensils and food preparation areasFollowing food safety procedures and organisational policiesWorking collaboratively with the broader care and hospitality teamCreating a positive dining experience for our residentsAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is passionate about food and enjoys making a difference in the lives of older people.You will ideally have:Previous experience in a kitchen, food service or hospitality environmentExperience preparing and cooking meals, particularly in a commercial or aged care settingAn understanding of food safety and hygiene requirementsThe ability to follow recipes, menus and dietary requirements accuratelyStrong communication and teamwork skillsA caring and respectful approach when working with older peopleThe ability to work independently and confidently when requiredFlexibility and availability to work weekendsExperience in aged care is highly regarded, but not essential for the right candidate.Why Join Respect?
