This role is at the centre of our daily operations, moving product from inbound trucks through to accurate, well-packed orders leaving for customers across Australia.Position OverviewThe Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the hands‐on flow of stock through our warehouse: receiving and unloading deliveries, putting stock away, picking and packing customer orders, and loading outbound freight.
The ideal candidate is accurate under pressure, physically capable of handling heavy fitness equipment, comfortable operating warehouse equipment, and takes pride in getting orders out complete, undamaged and on time.
Keeping the workspace clean and safe is part of the job, not the whole job.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnloading inbound trucks and containers, checking deliveries against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies or damageReceiving stock into the system and putting it away in the correct locationsPicking customer orders accurately using our warehouse management system and handheld scannersPacking orders to VERVE standards,



including protective packaging for heavy and bulky fitness equipmentLoading outbound freight, including palletising, strapping and wrapping for safe transportPreparing consignments and labels for couriers and freight carriersAssisting with stocktakes and cycle countsKeeping pick faces, packing benches and loading areas clean, safe and organisedSupporting the wider warehouse team during peak periods and with general upkeep when requiredPreferred CandidateReliable, punctual, and able to work both as part of a team and autonomouslyPhysically fit and capable of repetitive lifting and handling of heavy itemsAccurate with good attention to detail; picking and packing errors cost us customersA current forklift licence (LF) would be highly regarded but is not essentialPrevious warehouse, pick and pack or freight experience an advantagePosition Type: Casual, with a genuine pathway to a permanent full time position for the right candidateWork Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pmStart Date: ImmediatelyWage/Salary: General Retail Industry Award (MA******) age and experience will dictate starting wage
