Hours will increase as demand and capability increases.Peninsula Products is looking for a reliable, hands-on mechanic or service technician to maintain and repair our specialist concrete grinding and polishing equipment.This is primarily a workshop-based role working across grinders, industrial dust extractors, generators and related hire equipment.
You'll also occasionally assist with equipment deliveries, collections and customer demonstrations when additional driving capacity is required.Concrete-flooring experience is not essential—we can teach you the machinery and applications.Workshop Mechanic / Service Technician – Equipment Hire - Concrete Grinding IndustryAbout the roleYour responsibilities will include:Diagnosing mechanical and equipment faultsServicing and repairing our hire fleetReplacing bearings, belts, motors, cables, switches and other componentsCompleting preventative maintenance and off-hire inspectionsTesting equipment and ensuring it is safe and ready for hireRecording repairs, parts used and outstanding faultsMaintaining spare-parts stock and an organised workshopPreparing equipment for upcoming bookingsAssisting with deliveries,



collections and demonstrations when requiredWorking with the team to prioritise urgent repairs and hire requirementsAbout youYou may come from equipment hire, mechanical fitting, small-engine repair, power-tool servicing, plant machinery or another hands-on mechanical environment.We're looking for someone who has:Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skillsExperience servicing machinery, tools or equipmentA practical and methodical approach to problem-solvingGood organisation and record-keeping habitsA strong focus on safety and equipment presentationA full Victorian driver's licenseConfidence towing trailers and transporting machineryThe ability to work independently and as part of a small teamClear, respectful communication and a willingness to accept directionA reliable and professional attitudeA relevant trade qualification and White Card would be advantageous but are not essential for the right person.Why join Peninsula Products?
