The Carer Peer Worker will have lived or living experience as a family member, carer or supporter of someone with mental health challenges, or substance use challenges.Working in collaboration with local mental health carers and the Team Leader in the delivery of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centres and outlets across the Hume Region.
The Carer Peer Worker provides support and care to mental health carers, family and kin primarily as well as access to appropriate resources and services including brokerage for respite.This role is classified under the Community Health Centre Stand Alone Services Social and Community Service Employees Multi Enterprise Agreement **** Level 3 ($*****-$***** per hour + superannuation)Skills & ExperienceTo thrive in this role, you'll bring:Lived/living experience as a mental health carer, family member or kin of a person experiencing mental health challenges, psychological distress,



mental illness or substance use issues.Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-informed peer support to carersProven ability to liaise with a variety of service providers, professionals and caregivers, both paid and unpaid.We genuinely invest in our people.
