Job Description Location: Canberra, ACT (Onsite Preferred) Security Clearance: Active NV1 (Minimum Required) Hours: Up to 40 Hours per Week About the Role DFAT's Commercial Application Delivery Section within the Business Solutions Branch is seeking experienced Senior Salesforce Developers to support the delivery and enhancement of critical Salesforce-based solutions.
These solutions underpin a broad range of government services including consular services, trade, aid, scholarships and international engagement initiatives.
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will work within a project delivery team to design, develop, configure and support enterprise-grade Salesforce applications.
You will collaborate closely with Solution Leads, Business Analysts, Testers and Release Managers to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions aligned with Salesforce best practices.
Key Responsibilities Participate in business analysis, solution design and planning activities.
Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
Design, develop, configure and deploy Salesforce applications and integrations.
Develop custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), OmniStudio and Aura.
Configure Salesforce objects, flows, permission sets, sharing models and related platform features.
Support testing, quality assurance and release management activities.




Troubleshoot and resolve application and configuration issues.
Develop solution design, technical documentation and implementation artefacts.
Work with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to support controlled deployments.
Maintain alignment with Salesforce platform standards and industry best practices.
Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement for existing Salesforce solutions.
Requirements Essential Skills and Experience Salesforce Development Minimum 3 years' experience in Salesforce development.
Demonstrated experience designing, building and delivering enterprise-level Salesforce solutions.
Solid experience implementing Salesforce best practices and solution architecture principles.
Salesforce Configuration Extensive experience configuring: Custom Objects Flows Permission Sets Security and Sharing Models Validation Rules Platform Configuration Settings Technical Development Skills Advanced experience with: Apex Lightning Web Components (LWC) OmniStudio Aura Components JavaScript HTML CSS Platform Experience Experience with: Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) Experience Cloud Enterprise system integrations Version control systems (Git) CI/CD and DevOps tooling Mandatory Certifications You must hold: Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification Salesforce OmniStudio Developer or OmniStudio Consultant Certification Requirements senior salesforce developer
