Reporting directly to an experienced Financial Controller, you'll join a cooperative finance team supporting multiple dealership operations.

About the Role As Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function across multiple dealership operations while working closely with senior finance leadership.
This is a hands-on position that offers exposure to both transactional finance and month-end accounting responsibilities.




Supporting month-end and year-end close processes Preparing bank reconciliations and investigating variances Assisting with management reporting and financial analysis Supporting the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations Managing general ledger reconciliations and journal entries Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance requirements Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities Supporting statutory reporting and audit preparation Partnering with operational stakeholders across multiple dealership locations About You Currently studying towards or completed CA/CPA qualifications will be highly regarded with 2+ years' accounting experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role Previous experience working within a dealership or automotive retail environment is essential Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business Intermediate to advanced Excel skills A positive, team-oriented attitude and desire to continue learning and developing If you're looking for a role that will take your accounting career beyond transactional finance and provide valuable exposure to reporting, analysis and broader commercial accounting responsibilities, we'd love to hear from you.
