Lead a Data team in the Mining Industry About Our Client The organisation operates within the mining industry in Indonesia.
Job Description As a Head of Platforms and Data Lead, your main responsibilities will include: Own and evolve the enterprise data and platform ecosystem, ensuring clear governance, prioritisation, support structures, and broad adoption across the organisation.
Develop scalable, self-service data and technology capabilities that enable development teams and business stakeholders to rapidly build, deploy, and maintain digital solutions.
Design and maintain reusable platform services, shared components, and enterprise standards that accelerate product development and encourage consistency across digital initiatives.
Establish enterprise-wide data standards, access frameworks, and service models that ensure data can be consumed securely, efficiently, and with confidence across the business.
Strengthen data quality, reliability, and governance capabilities while partnering with business stakeholders to reinforce accountability and stewardship of key data assets.
Build and manage strategic partnerships with cloud providers, technology vendors, and external service partners to support long-term business and technology objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across platform engineering, data engineering, and platform operations, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,



Data Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Advanced qualifications such as a Master's degree or equivalent postgraduate education will be viewed favorably.
At least 10 years of experience spanning data platforms, cloud technologies, data engineering, or platform engineering, including demonstrated success leading high-performing data or platform teams.
Proven ability to design, build, and scale enterprise-wide data platforms, shared technology services, and reusable capabilities that support business growth and digital transformation objectives.
Strong understanding of contemporary cloud ecosystems, enterprise data architecture, integration strategies, and platform governance frameworks, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
Track record of leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across business and technology functions to successfully drive platform adoption and organisational change.
Prior experience within mining, energy, manufacturing, industrial, or other asset-intensive sectors is highly desirable; however, candidates with strong enterprise platform and data leadership experience from other complex environments are encouraged to apply.
