As a Support Officer in the Community Development team, you provide the administration and coordination that helps community programs, projects and services run effectively.
You support staff who work directly with residents, community groups and organisations, while assisting the Coordinator Community Development with day-to-day operations.
Your work is varied and practical.
You respond to telephone enquiries and connect people with the right team member, prepare correspondence, maintain records and administration systems, coordinate orders and payments, manage office supplies, and maintain inventories of community engagement resources and equipment.
You also publish approved content to Council webpages and support the management of files, registers and team records.
You help deliver meetings, events and community activities by preparing agendas, taking minutes, managing RSVPs, arranging catering, booking equipment and coordinating printing.
You provide administrative support to Community Development and Advisory Committee meetings, helping the team stay organised and focused on community outcomes.
