Hands-on role rebuilding and owning the PowerBI reporting suite for HR 3-month contract with immediate start Large-scale, matrixed organisation, genuine enterprise-level HR data exposure About the business Our client operates in the heavy equipment sector, supplying, servicing and supporting the machinery that keeps mining, construction and civil infrastructure projects running across Queensland and the Pacific.
With that comes a large, well-established People function supporting a sizeable and diverse workforce, which means genuine depth and complexity in the HR data behind the scenes.
This role sits right in the middle of that: making sense of data across multiple systems and turning it into reporting the business can actually use.
About the role This is a hands-on, data-and-reporting focused role sitting within the People Services function.
You'll be the go-to person turning raw HR data into clear, usable insight, primarily through PowerBI, with data flowing in from Chris21, Workday and Excel.
It's a preparation and data-crunching role at its core: think monthly reporting, ad hoc requests from the business, and ongoing improvements to existing PowerBI reports (which, frankly, need some love).
Key responsibilities include: Delivering monthly HR/people reporting (overtime, leave,



turnover, absenteeism and similar workforce metrics) Maintaining and improving existing PowerBI reports and dashboards Responding to ad hoc data and reporting requests from HR and the broader business Pulling and reconciling data from Chris21, Workday and Excel ahead of reporting Ensuring data accuracy and integrity across HR reporting Providing a solid handover and maintaining business-as-usual reporting during the contract What you'll bring Essential: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) Strong Chris21 experience PowerBI knowledge Workday knowledge Month-end reporting experience within an HR or related function Strong data analysis and insights skills Nice to have: Experience building dashboards in PowerBI Workday exposure Prior HR or payroll data experience (highly regarded) The details 3-month initial contract, commencing ASAP Based on Brisbane's south side (Acacia Ridge) Reporting to the Manager, People Services Working arrangement: Full time in office OR HYBRID If the chance sounds like the right fit, we would love to hear from you.
