We are a well-established and growing allied health practice seeking an experienced and organised receiptionst to join our supportive multidisciplinary team on a permanent full-time basis.Our team consists of 4 Dietitians and a Credentialed Diabetes Educator working across multiple locations in Southern Sydney.
This role will primarily be based in our Sutherland office within a busy medical specialist environment.
We support a diverse client base ranging from pregnant mothers to elderly patients and work closely with a strong referral network including GPs, specialists, surgeons, and allied health professionals.This is a varied and hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting, enjoys supporting both patients and clinicians, and takes pride in creating efficient systems and smooth day-to-day operations.About the RoleAs the central support person within the practice, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of the clinic while delivering a high standard of patient care and administrative support.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcoming patients and providing a skilled and compassionate first point of contactManaging phone calls, emails, appointments, and clinician schedules across multiple locationsCoordinating complex diaries and supporting daily clinic operationsProcessing billings and claims including Medicare, DVA, NDIS, WorkCover, and private health insuranceManaging accounts administration, reporting,
and outstanding paymentsMaintaining accurate patient records and database systems with strict confidentialitySupporting clinicians with administrative and operational tasksUpdating website content and clinic resources where requiredSkills & ExperiencePrevious experience in medical reception, practice management, or healthcare administrationStrong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectivelyAbility to work independently, whilst remaining a key member of a wider teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional, friendly, and empathetic approach to patient careHigh attention to detail and accuracyExperience with Medicare, NDIS, DVA, and private billing processesConfidence working independently while contributing to a collaborative team cultureAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience using practice management software (Halaxy experience highly regarded)Experience with Squarespace, Canva, social media, or website updates is advantageousAbout YouYou are friendly, approachable, and genuinely enjoy building positive relationships with patients and colleagues alike.
