The Women's Health Centre Southern Highlands – Mittagong NSWWe are seeking a compassionate and competent Practice Nurse (RN) to join The Women's Health Centre Southern Highlands in Mittagong, NSW.
This is a part-time position delivering high-quality nursing care within a dedicated women's health practice.
As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team and providing direct patient care in a general practice healthcare setting.
We are one of the national Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinics and this position is fundamental to ensuring our patients receive comprehensive, trauma informed nursing services and health education that promotes wellness and wellbeing.Key responsibilities:Providing direct patient care, chronic disease management and health assessments under the guidance of medical practitionersPerforming routine clinical procedures such as blood pressure monitoring, ECGs,wound care, immunisations and iron infusionsTaking detailed patient histories and maintaining accurate clinical recordsEducating patients on health promotion, disease prevention and management of chronic conditionsSupporting the clinical team in the delivery of women's health services, including gynaecological and reproductive health careAssisting with minor procedures and treatments as requiredEnsuring compliance with infection control protocols and health and safety standardsMaintaining a clean, safe and organised clinical environmentCommunicating effectively with patients, families and clinical staff to ensure coordinated careContributing to practice initiatives that enhance patient experience and clinical outcomesWhat we're looking for:Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)



with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)Strong clinical assessment and communication skills with excellent attention to detailDemonstrated ability to provide compassionate, trauma informed, patient-centred careProficiency in electronic health record systems and clinical documentationKnowledge of evidence-based nursing practice and current health guidelinesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a general practice teamCurrent First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)A commitment to professional development and continuing educationExcellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for women's healthThe ability to work additional days to cover our other practice nurse during periods of leaveWhat we offerWe are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace for our team members.
