This is a full-time Department Manager position at Meadows Family Restaurants Pty Ltd, which owns and runs McDonald's Mittagong.
The role involves managing daily store operations in alignment with McDonald's operational standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), overseeing all front-of-house and back-of-house activities, and ensuring compliance with HACCP protocols, WHS legislation, and internal audit frameworks.Key responsibilitiesManage daily store operations in alignment with McDonald's operational standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house activities including product flow, food safety, kitchen efficiency, and shift executionMonitor compliance with HACCP protocols, WHS legislation, and internal audit frameworksPrepare for and lead internal and external audits, ensuring all compliance documentation is current and fully auditableEnsure all employment practices comply with the Fast Food Industry Award ****, including rostering, children and young person's employment legislation, and payroll complianceMonitor and report on KPIs such as sales growth, COGS, wastage, and labour-to-sales ratioManage budgets, including cost forecasting and P&L; accountabilityLead inventory control using digital stock management systems, ensuring loss prevention and supplier complianceLead structured training programs aligned with McDonald's L&D; frameworks to upskill shift leaders, supervisors,



and assistant managersImplement customer service standards and training programs to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality serviceAbout youAt least 3 years of relevant work experience, including 1-year experience in a management position within a McDonald's operationDiploma in management or higher qualification or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieuCompletion of one or more of the Department Streams Course or equivalent, including the post-class action planCurrent and valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (required)Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and Fire Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)Working knowledge of the Quick Food Industry Award **** and experience in implementing award-based complianceProficiency with operational systems such as InMoment, BrandM8Experience preparing for or managing compliance audits, risk reviews, and workplace investigationsStrong leadership, communication, and people development skills, particularly with training and mentoring upcoming management staffHigh attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindsetPerformance bonus8-hour shiftRotating rosterAbout usMeadows Family Restaurants Pty Ltd owns and runs McDonald's Mittagong.
