What you'll typically be doing during your shift:Manually sorting parcels and mail, with machine and scanner assistanceLoading and unloading parcels from bags, trays, containers, and cagesAssisting with operating load-shifting equipment (eg pallet jacks, stackers, conveyors, etc) in co-ordination with the rest of the operations teamAssisting with the loading and unloading of trucks and containersWhat you'll need:To be fit and strong - comfortable with physically demanding work, including regular (and safe) lifting up to 16kg objectsPPE gear - including your own hi-vis vest & steel-capped bootsA valid police check, or ability to complete a statutory declarationGood memory recall and hand-eye coordinationWillingness to handle parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol productsA paid mandatory on-site induction is required before your first shift, hosted during the of Monday October 19th which will also require you to undertake a drug & alcohol test - further details can be provided on application.All eligible visa holders are encouraged to apply.
