Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon ReceptionistAs the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of the practice — managing appointments, coordinating theatre bookings, and handling billing with accuracy and care.
Main consulting location in Mornington and travel required once a fortnight to St Kilda consulting suites.We are looking for a part-time receptionist 4 days a week (Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri).
Hours: Mon, Tues, Wed 8:30-4:30 Fri 8:30-3:30pmKey responsibilitiesGreet and welcome patients warmly, creating a calm and reassuring environmentManage appointment scheduling and day-to-day reception dutiesCoordinate theatre/surgery bookings with hospitals and admissions staffProcess health fund billing, Medicare claims, and related administrative tasksLiaise with patients, GPs, hospitals,



and health fundsMaintain accurate patient records and correspondenceSupport the surgeon and broader team with general administrative dutiesLiaising with TAC, Workcover and solicitors for patients with active claimsAbout youAt least one years' experience in a similar roleProficiency with Gentu practice management software (preferred)Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft officeExcellent work ethic and reliabilityStrong communication skills and a professional phone mannerHighly organised with strong attention to detailAble to work independently and confidently as part of a small teamDiscreet, reliable, and empathetic when dealing with patientsAbility to multi-task and prioritiseA supportive and collegial team environmentStable, ongoing role within a well-established specialist practice with opportunities to growBrand recent facilitiesCompetitive remuneration based on experience
