About the Role As a Fitter, you will apply your trade skills and attention to detail to inspect, repair and recondition military hardware.
Working closely with Defence personnel, you will provide embedded maintenance support during training activities, ensuring equipment is serviceable and training objectives are achieved.
Key responsibilities include: Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on military hardware and Defence armaments.
Safely operate machinery to repair,



manufacture or modify required parts.
Certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose.
Provide occasional support to Defence bases across Victoria, assisting with armoury maintenance.
All travel, accommodation and meals provided.
About You Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Turning) or equivalent trade qualification.
Strong aptitude for technology and computer-based systems.
Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence.
MR or HR Licence desirable.
Physically fit and capable of undertaking hands-on mechanical work.
You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
