Maintenance Fitter | Bridgewater, TAS Permanent Full-Time | Monday to Friday Industrial Recycling Processing Plant DNA Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for our client, a leading Australian resource recovery and recycling organisation based in Bridgewater, TAS.
This is a hands-on role maintaining heavy industrial processing equipment, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and plant reliability.
Hours Day Shift: 7:30am - 3:30pm Afternoon Shift: 1:00pm - 9:00pm Monday to Friday Must be flexible to work across both shifts and assist with after-hours breakdowns when required What You'll Be Doing Preventative and scheduled plant maintenance Mechanical fault finding and breakdown repairs Maintain shredders, crushers, conveyors and recycling equipment Fitting, fabrication and welding work Assist with shutdowns and major maintenance Identify potential equipment failures before breakdowns occur Work with production teams to minimise downtime Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards What We're Looking For Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter Turner or equivalent Strong industrial plant maintenance experience Experience with shredding machines,



crushing equipment and/or recycling processing machinery Strong mechanical fault-finding and breakdown maintenance skills HR Truck Licence Forklift Licence Relevant welding tickets/qualifications Ability to read technical and engineering drawings Strong understanding of secure work practices and equipment isolation Reliable, practical and solutions-focused Flexible to work both shifts and after-hours when required Experience within recycling, waste processing, quarrying, crushing, mining-related processing, timber processing, heavy manufacturing or similar industrial environments will be highly regarded.
Electrical disconnect/reconnect licence is advantageous but not essential.
