The Clinical Nurse provides nursing services that support students with health needs to safely access and participate in school.
The role develops and maintains Individual and Emergency Health Plans, provides health-related training to school staff, supports health requirements in school activities and works with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to support student health and educational outcomes.There are 2 permanent part-time at 0.7 FTE (53.2 hours per fortnight) positions, based at either Victoria Park State School's Specialist Support Hub in Mackay or Glenmore State School's Special Education Program in Rockhampton North.
A current AHPRA registration as a Registered General Nurse and a C class driver's licence are mandatory requirements.About UsThe State Schools Nursing Service provides clinical assistance to build school staff's capacity to safely support students with health needs to attend and participate at school and realise their full potential.
