The Storeman is responsible for managing inventory and ensuring productive operations within the warehouse.
This includes the receipt, storage, organisation, and dispatch of goods, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring accurate documentation of all transactions.
The Storeman plays a key role in supporting the logistics and supply chain functions, contributing to smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment.Key responsibilitiesRespond to customer requests for parts or information with speed of acknowledgement and reply, acknowledging urgent requests within 1-2 hours maximum and all other requests on the same business dayMaintain Fuelco's ERP inventory management system to a high standard, ensuring all parts are accurately tracked, properly stored, and readily available for customer ordersInspect inwards goods to ensure they meet quality and quantity requirements, investigating and advising management or suppliers within 24 hoursEnsure correct labelling and identification of items for easy access and inventory trackingOrganise and maintain stock levels in the warehouse, ensuring optimal storage conditions for productsConduct regular stock checks and assist with stocktaking proceduresPick, pack,



and prepare orders for dispatch to customers or internal departments with accuracy and timelinessRaise and issue invoices and delivery dockets for delivery to customers with speed and accuracyCoordinate with delivery drivers to ensure smooth delivery and receipt of goodsLoad and unload goods safely using appropriate handling equipmentMaintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulationsAccurately complete all necessary paperwork, including goods receipts, dispatch notes, and inventory recordsReport any discrepancies, damages, or stock issues to management immediatelyOperate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and according to company and WorkSafe guidelinesActively participate in safety training and maintain awareness of best practices to prevent workplace accidentsAbout youAbility to meet physical job demands including lifting materials and containersForklift license LF with minimum 2 years' experienceStrong OH&SE; orientationHigh attention to detail and quality focusSolid computer literacy and data entry skills, proficient with current Microsoft OfficeBasic Microsoft Excel skillsStrong verbal and written communication abilityHigh ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and organize timeBe careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
