We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join the team, with the opportunity for an experienced candidate to step into a Senior/Head Dental Assistant role.We want someone who enjoys being chairside, takes pride in keeping the day running smoothly and wants to become an important part of the dental team.The roleAs a Dental Assistant, you will:Provide chairside assistance across a broad range of general dental proceduresPrepare surgeries, instruments and materials before each procedureAnticipate the dentist's needs and help appointments run efficientlyTurn over surgeries between patientsMaintain high standards of infection control and sterilisationProcess and maintain instruments and equipmentMonitor and replenish clinical stockSupport patients before, during and after treatmentMaintain clean, organised and well-prepared clinical areasAssist with laboratory cases and other clinical tasks as requiredProvide occasional reception support when neededSenior/Head Dental AssistantFor someone with the right experience, this role can include additional responsibility as our Senior/Head Dental Assistant.We are looking for someone who is not only a strong Dental Assistant, but also someone other team members can look to for guidance.
You should be organised, approachable, positive and comfortable taking a leadership role within the DA team.As a Senior/Head Dental Assistant,



you would:Lead by example and help set the standard for the Dental Assistant teamGuide, support and mentor other Dental Assistants throughout the dayHelp onboard and train new team membersBuild strong relationships with our dentists, patients and the wider teamCommunicate clearly and positively, particularly during busy periodsHelp create a calm and reassuring experience for anxious or nervous patientsKeep the clinical team organised and help the day run smoothlyMaintain consistent surgery setup and clinical workflows across the practiceOversee sterilisation and infection-control standardsManage clinical stock levels and orderingEnsure instruments and equipment are maintained and available when neededIdentify ways to improve clinical workflows and efficiencyTake initiative when issues arise rather than waiting for someone else to solve themWork hoursOur practice hours are:Monday to Friday: 8:45am–6:00pmSaturday: 8:50am–4:00pmAvailability to work Saturdays is mandatory for this role.About youWe are looking for someone who:Is organised and prepares aheadCommunicates well with patients, dentists and the wider teamHas a positive attitude and contributes to a good team environmentIs calm,



patient and reassuring with nervous or anxious patientsIs reliable and works well in a busy environmentTakes pride in keeping things organised and running efficientlyIs willing to learn and take feedbackIs happy to help wherever needed when the practice is busyPrevious dental assisting experience is requiredCertificate III/IV in Dental Assisting is highly regarded but not essential.For the Senior/Head Dental Assistant level, we are looking for someone with substantial dental assisting experience who shows genuine leadership, works well with different personalities and is confident guiding and supporting other DAs.No dental experience?
