As an Apprentice Toolmaker in our Engineering Operations (Toolroom) team, you will begin a structured, hands-on career path in precision engineering.
You will complete a nationally recognised qualification in Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade over 4 years.Working under the guidance of experienced tradespeople, you will learn how to make and repair moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, press tools, and other special-purpose equipment that supports our manufacturing operations.
Over the course of your apprenticeship, you will develop skills in using workshop machinery, interpreting technical drawings, and applying safe work practices.
This role suits someone with a strong interest in mechanical or manufacturing trades, who enjoys practical, detail-focused work and is committed to completing a full apprenticeship starting January ****.What You'll DoWork alongside qualified Toolmakers to manufacture and repair moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, press tools and special equipment used in productionLearn to interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructionsOperate and maintain workshop machinery and hand tools under supervision, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders and drilling machinesDevelop skills in measuring, marking out, machining, fitting and assembly of precision componentsFollow safe work practices and contribute to a clean,
