About the Role
The security team at this site plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, comfort and confidence of the community accessing government services.
As the first point of contact for visitors and staff, you will set the tone, delivering a welcoming, respectful and professional experience while maintaining strict adherence to site procedures and security protocols.
This is a highly customer-focused role requiring solid communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to confidently manage difficult or sensitive situations.
You will be responsible for maintaining site security while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This is a casual opportunity offering flexibility, with shifts primarily available Monday to Friday during business operating hours.

Roster: Monday to Friday Day Shifts (No nights or weekends)

Key Responsibilities
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:




Managing access points and maintaining a safe and secure environmentMonitoring customer movements throughout the siteDelivering exceptional customer service and assistanceIdentifying and responding appropriately to security incidentsDe-escalating challenging situations in a calm and skilled mannerSupporting emergency response procedures when requiredConducting security checks and maintaining site complianceCompleting incident reports and daily activity recordsBuilding positive relationships with staff, customers and members of the publicMaintaining a robust safety-first approach at all times
About You
Previous experience in customer service, security or a public-facing roleStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage conflict and difficult situations professionallyExcellent customer service focus and professional presentationStrong attention to detail and reporting skillsAbility to work independently and follow site proceduresFlexible availability and reliabilityAbility to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or sensitive environments
Mandatory Requirements
Current QLD Security Licence (Unarmed and Crowd Control)Current First Aid Certificate and CPRUnlimited working rights in AustraliaAbility to obtain and maintain a National Police Check
