The role is fundamental to ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, supporting our chefs in delivering high-quality meals to our members and guests.
As a Kitchen Hand, you will be instrumental in maintaining the standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety that our club is known for.What you'll be doingPreparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and other food itemsAssisting chefs with food preparation and cooking tasks as directedMaintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipmentStoring food items correctly and managing inventory in accordance with food safety standardsTaking deliveries and checking stock levels to ensure adequate suppliesFollowing all health and safety regulations and food handling proceduresAssisting with general kitchen duties and supporting the team to meet service demandsOperating kitchen equipment safely and responsiblyWhat we're looking forPrevious experience working in a kitchen workplace is preferred but not essential for enthusiastic candidatesA strong understanding of food hygiene and food safety practicesPhysical fitness and the ability to work on your feet for extended periodsExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsThe ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a teamA positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced kitchen staffReliability and punctuality, particularly important for casual shift workAny relevant qualifications in food handling or kitchen safety are advantageousAbout usPeninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club is a premier golf and leisure destination in Frankston, Victoria.
