We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team on a part-time basis, working closely with the HR Manager who will be on part-time parental leave for 8 months.
This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys operational HR, employee relations, and supporting managers in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the CFO, the HR Advisor will provide end-to-end HR support across the business, ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation and company policies.
You will play a key role in supporting leaders and employees while contributing to continuous improvement of HR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employeesAssist with employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, and investigationsSupport recruitment and onboarding activitiesAssist with employment contracts, variations, and HR documentationSupport leave management,



including parental leave and return-to-work arrangementsMaintain HR records and ensure compliance with Fair Work and relevant legislationContribute to policy development and HR initiatives as requiredWork collaboratively with the HR Manager to ensure continuity of HR supportPayroll back up support
About You
Proven experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor roleStrong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Fair Work requirementsConfident communicator with the ability to provide pragmatic, commercial HR adviceHighly organised with strong attention to detailAbility to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the HR ManagerExperience in the HRIS and Payroll Platform Employment HeroExperience in transport, logistics, or a blue-collar environment (desirable)
