Our client is a leading and high-quality Western Australian owned native plant nursery that focuses on supplying plants to clients across the state. On average, they have approx. 5 million plants at their nursery in Perth's Northeast Suburbs and as a result of ongoing growth, they are currently looking for an experienced Team Leader, Supervisor or Leading Hand who has worked in a production based setting.

What will this position entail? n

This role will see you overseeing a production team of about 6 - 10 production employees to ensure the operations of the production department run smoothly and on time.

You will be responsible for:

n

Lead and coordinate the daily production team, allocate tasks and monitor progress.
n
Conducting daily toolbox talks and regular team check-ins, providing feedback, and addressing issues.
n
Training and onboarding new team members, conducting competency assessments and identifying ongoing training needs.
n
Supporting the team on production tasks to maintain plant health, grading and quality standards.
n




Ensuring compliance with safety and relevant nursery standards, while promoting a positive and high-performing team culture.

How can I be successful? nn
Previous experience in a team leading, supervisor or leading hand position.

Experience working in a production environment (No nursery experience required! Open to candidates from manufacturing, warehousing, horticulture or other production environments.

Strong communication skills with the ability to provide feedback when required

Full Australian working rights.

A valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable car
