As we continue to grow our operations and invest in the future of the Cobar region, we're looking for an experienced and people-focused Technical Services Superintendent to join our Federation operation.
Reporting to the Technical Services Regional Manager, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team of Mining Engineers, Geologists and Geotechnical professionals, creating an environment where people are supported to succeed, develop their capability and contribute to protected, sustainable mining outcomes.
This is an opportunity for a cooperative leader who enjoys bringing people together, solving complex operational challenges and influencing mine performance through strong planning, communication and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop the Technical Services team across Mining Engineering, Geology and Geotechnical disciplinesFoster a safe, inclusive and high-performing team cultureSupport the achievement of production, safety and cost objectivesContribute to forecasts, budgets and operational planning activitiesManage drilling programs and ensure high-quality geological data collection and interpretationBuild solid working relationships across operational, technical and corporate teams
Qualifications and experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical EngineeringExperience leading technical teams within an underground mining environmentStrong relationship-building and communication skillsA collaborative leadership style focused on coaching and developmentMine planning, analytical and problem-solving capabilityExperience using Deswik, Pronto and Microsoft OfficeA passion for developing people and improving team performance
